The West Branch Valley is an area in north central Pennsylvania with a storied past. The native Americans described the area with the word “Otzniachson” which roughly translates to “people of the Demon’s den.” Mid-1700’s Moravian missionary and explorer Count Nikolaus Ludwig Zinzendorf wrote in his diaries “for it was here the Indians say the evil spirits have their seats and hold their revels.”
